I do gather a significant amount of pleasure whenever I find an alternative to Rice or Corn Pasta. They have a tendency to be bland, tasteless and finicky to cook just right. Saying all that, its been so long since I’ve eaten Wheat pasta that my memories of glorious flavour are passing through some rose tinted glasses.
But, I digress, Soya Noodles are not something that had really been on my radar until a friend found them in a shop one day. I can’t say I was too impressed with the look of them (they have the appearance of a 100 year old mans well grown nails) but I persevered and was pleasantly surprised. They retain their shape and texture far better than other gluten free offerings and add a little flavour to pasta dishes.
Most delicious indeed.
