Shop Review – Schönhauser Allee Arcaden

Hidden downstairs in the basement floor of the Schönhauser Allee Arcaden are two bio markts.  Right next to each other, as in, directly across the thoroughfare.  Which makes for nice and easy gluten free shopping (even if one of them is a bit pap).

Vitalia Reformhaus

Ahh, one of my favourites, they have a pretty extensive gluten free section with most of the Schär, 3 Pauly, Hammer Mühle and Schnitzer ranges (plus various other smaller selections).

As you can see on the right, they have some smaller baskets which offer some seasonal selections and offers (right now theres some glutenfrei Lebkuchen in there, yum).

Viv Biofrischmarkt

Whilst this place is great for lots of other foody stuff (Vitalia isn’t), its gluten free section is a little on the lacking side.

Now, it is better than a few of the other Viv’s, but still not the best in the world ever.  One thing of note though, they do have buckwheat pasta!  So far, this is the only place which I’ve seen it, so its always worth a check in here when going to the (far better) Vitalia.
